This unit of competency examines feeding management systems used within feedlot production. It is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to evaluate ration, and animal and environmental factors which influence feed intake.
Whilst there are no mandatory entry requirements for this unit, it applies to personnel interested or involved in the feedlot industry. This unit may be studied individually or as part of the overall 10148NAT - Certificate IV in Feedlot Production (Feeding Management) qualification. The detail below sets out the key components studied within this unit to assist in understanding the effect of feed intake.

Study will involve a range of reading, calculations and written response. You are required to have literacy levels equivalent to a successful completion of Year 10 English and Mathematics.
